ITINERARY:
Day 1, Sept 17 - Hayden Island, OR: Board your ship and celebrate with a welcome reception. Afternoon of river cruising, with Mount Hood as our backdrop, we set out for a spectacular afternoon of cruising. Hayden Island is an exceptional little community with coastal charm and laidback atmosphere. As you begin your journey, enjoy incredible panoramic views from the sundeck or your private balcony. Admire the vast variety of wildlife, including bald eagles wich can sometimes be seen soaring over the ship.
Day 2, Sept 18 - Astoria, OR: Visit Fort Clatsop and explore an exact replica of the Lewis & Clark Expedition Team encampment site. Later, browse the town's eclectic shops and galleries.
Day 3, Sept 19 - Mount St. Helens, WA: On your scenic journey to the Mount St. Helens Johnston Ridge Observatory, listen to the engaging commentary regarding how the eruption affected the landscape and surrounding communities and the lives of those in the area.
Day 4, Sept 20 - Stevenson, WA: Cross the impressive "Bridge of the Gods," and admire Mutnomah Falls, the second tallest year around waterfall in the USA. Cruise the Columbia River Gorge. Sit back on the sun deck as we cruise the spectacular river canyon cutting thru the Cascade Mountain Range.
Day 5, Sept 21 - The Dalles, OR: Sip the best wines of the region as you create your own piece of artwork that you can take home as a memento of your journey with us.
Day 6, Sept 22 - Pendleton, WA: Discover the Pendleton underground, once a red-light district beneath the city where illegal gambling and bootlegging thrived. In Richland, WA, visit the REACH Museum, which illustrates the history and culture of the region through engaging exhibits, artifacts and tours.
Day 7, Sept 23 - Cruising the Snake River: Cruise this renowned river, along mountain ranges, canyons, and plains. Take in the breath-taking views that surround you from the sundeck or your private balcony.
Day 8, Sept 24 - Clarkson, WA: Enjoy breakfast before departing the ship or continue the journey with one of our post-cruise packages.
